Africa Women Industrialization Awards [AWIA] is designed to celebrate, acknowledge and show recognition to African women around the world. African women have shown over the years that they can be counted as a driving force in the continent of Africa. The 2022 Edition is designed to showcase this astonishing and impactful woman.
Vision
To celebrate African women across the globe, showcasing her richness and rewarding her excellent stride in building sustainable businesses.
Mission
To bridge the gap between academia and industry by making learning relatable through celebrating and immortalizing the feats of industry female giants using technology to build sustainable businesses for a secured future.
Objective
To help young learners understand the role of science and technology in building sustainable businesses by learning from role models.

Her Excellency, The First Lady of Kwara State
AMBASSADOR DR (MRS) OLUFOLAKE ABDULRAZAQ
Her Excellency, Ambassador Dr (Mrs) Olufolake Abdulrazaq, wife, mother, diplomat and First Lady of Kwara State, born on the 2nd of August, 1967 in Lagos, South west Nigeria and proceeded to the United States where she started her early education and later returned to Nigeria to complete same.

Merrica began her assignment at the U.S. Consulate Lagos in August 2018. Prior to Nigeria, Merrica served as a Vice Consul in Casablanca, Morocco and as the Economic and Commercial Officer in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Merrica has a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Economics from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL. She also attended the University of Montana where she received her Master of Business Administration.

Ogunseye ventured into journalism as a second year student of the department of Biochemistry, University of Lagos. Ogunseye has won over 25 media awards including the health category of the CNN MultiChoice African Journalist of the Year Awards in 2011 and 2013, Nigerian Academy of Science Journalist of the Year 2013, The Future Awards Africa 2013, Child-Friendly Reporter of the Year by the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME).

Dolapo Kukoyi is a Partner at Detail Commercial Solicitors and leads the firm’s Power and Gas to Power Practice. She is one of the leading lawyers in Nigeria’s Power sector with extensive experience advising clients in the private sector, government agencies and regulators on a wide range of complex transactions. Her transactional experience includes advising the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) on the 213 billion naira Intervention Fund for the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry, advising Lagos State Government on the Light Up Lagos project to facilitate the delivery of a total of 3000MW to Lagos State through embedded power generation as well as advising Waltersmith Gas Company Ltd in developing a 40-300MW Gas to Power Plant. She has also advised a number of renewable off grid developers/funds in the Commercial, Industrial and Mini grid space on their project structuring and the legal and regulatory framework for entry into Nigeria. She advised the Nigerian Energy Support Program (NESP) funded by GIZ on the development of 5 mini grids in Nigeria under the NESP 1 and currently advises on the on grid and rural electrification components under NESP 2 She earned her law degree from the University of Ibadan in 2001 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2004. Dolapo is recognized as a Leading Lawyer, Corporate, M&A and Project Finance by the International Financial Law Review (IFLR). She was awarded 40 Under 40 Leading Lawyers in the ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards, 2016; and awarded one of 50 Most Impactful Social Innovators (Global Listing) in the World CSR Awards 2018.
